Dealing with Delta Airlines

Delta holds the reputation for being the second largest airline. That is in terms of the number of passengers carried Transatlantic. It is the foremost U.S carrier as it offers daily flights to almost five hundred destinations in almost 90 countries.

Lots of things are going on in Delta. Recently, its airports in Utah and Cincinatti have been named Best Airports. Delta also offers non-stop service for Atlantic and Atlanta which is very apt considering summer is coming near. With all these recent developments, it is no wonder it's going nowhere but up.

Just last year, Delta restructured to secure its future and its thousands of clients. It filed for reorganization per instruction of United States Bankruptcy Code Chapter 11. Results? Delta is now more efficient and yes, more cost-effective. Such restructuring tailgates the following: more secured travel plans and secured SkyMiles.

Delta is successful because of its formidable team of directors and key committees. It complies to the following: Corporate GOvernance Principles, Audit Committee Charter, Personnel and Compensation Committee Charter, Policy regarding shareowner Approval of Future Severance Agreements and many more.

Delta Air Lines does provide quality air transportation, whether it is for freight needs or passengers. It travels throughout the country and around the World. It has its totally owned subsidiary, which is Comair, Inc. As of this year, Delta has 244 domestic cities within 46 states for destinations. Also included in the domestic list are District of Columbia, U.S. VIrgin Islands and Puerto Rico. And of course, there are 70 international cities in more than forty countries! All in all, it has 7,113 flights everyday and that's for five hundred cities in 94 countries.

Delta Airlines is actually a Delaware-based corporation with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. Its history is interesting: in 1924, Huff Daland Dusters established an aerial crop dusting program, which was the world's first. It became Delta Air Service until it inaugurated its proper airline service in 1929, with a Texas to Mississipi route.

Ever since its establishment, this company has nothing in mind but the safety and satisfaction of the client, with emphasis on customer service and hospitality.

Delta Air is headed by its CEO Gerald Grinstein, who is proud to have amassed $16 billion in revenue for the past year. There are over 47,000 employees scattered all over the globe. For the past year, it enplaned 118,853,189 passengers. Pretty neat huh?

The Delta Connection Carriers are the followign: Chautauqua Airlines, Comair, Freedom Airlines, SkyWest, Shuttle America and Atlantic Southeast Airlines. The SkyTeam Alliance is composed of Air France, Continental Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Alitalia, among others.

Delta's major international getaways are the following: New York to Europe, Los Angeles to Asia Pacific, Cincinnati to Europe to Latin America and Atlanta to Europe to Latin America.

Some of its awards are the following: one of America's safest companies, Corporation of the Year (given by the 100 Black Men of America),Diners Club ASATA Award and Best International Carrier Award.

A lot of people would love to work for Delta because of its benefits: awesome compensation, travel privileges, medical coverage, life insurance coverage, vacations adn holidays and even educational assistance reimbursement!

Anyone who wants to fly and see the world must consider Delta Airline as its carrier. Delta offers a wonderful experience and from all the information mentioned above, everyone knows why.
